Gia van den Akker |
Born in the Netherlands in 1961, Gia has lived
in Italy since 2007, having established there "la fabbrica," a eurythmy
studio. She has studied with many accomplished eurythmists,
including Werner Barfod (The Hague, NL), Else Klink (Stuttgart),and
Elena Zuccoli (Dornach). Having formerly served as a staff
member at the Euritmieacademie,The Hague, she now serves as a visiting
lecturer in the Hague, at the Eurythmy School of Witten-Annen,
the Alanus College in Alfter, and the Scuola di Danza in Torino. As
a performing eurythmist, Gia is continuously working on her own
productions. "The focus of my work is on interdisciplinary
cooperation and collaboration, and on eurythmy as an art of dancing
beyond the theatre, for example in museums, at funerals and commemorations." |

Marilia Barreto |
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1955, Marília
has studied eurythmy in The Hague - The Netherlands, finishing
the training in 1986. During 13 years she has performed in the Grupo
de Euritmia de São Paulo, being one of its founders,
with which she has traveled through Brazil and abroad showing their
researches in the field of brazilian eurythmy. For twenty years
now she has been teaching at the Escola Waldorf Rudolf Steiner
in São Paulo, having concentrated in the last seven years
in the work with the High School. There she has founded the extra-curricular
performing group among twelve graders, called Terra Brasilis
Eurythmy. In 2007 she has created Terranova Euritmia,
a Life Orientation Year for young former Waldorf students, having
eurythmy as a central subject. In 2003 she took a Master Degree
in Semiotics at the PUC- SP Catholic University of São Paulo,
having written the work From Word to the Poetics of Movement.
For the third time now she is preparing trained eurythmists in
Brazil for the pedagogical work at Waldorf Schools |

Andreas Borrmann |
Born in 1954 in Karlsruhe, Germany, Andreas studied
eurythmy in Berlin. For 26 years now, he has been teaching children
and young adults at the Rudolf Steiner Schule Berlin. As well, he has
maintained active participatiion in artistic eurythmy projects
as well as dramatic productions. Andreas is a founding member
of and teacher at the Norddeutschen Eurythmielehrerausbildung,
which has more recently transformed into the "Eurythmie Referendariat
mit Bachelor Degree Den Haag". |

Ingrid Everwijn |
Ingrid undertook her piano studies in Basel. She has taught
seminars and completed her eurythmy training in Dornach, and as
well did the therapeutic eurythmy training in England. Since 1995,
Ingrid has been a teacher and leader of the college of teachers
at the "Akademie für Eurythmische Kunst Baselland in
Aesch." |

Bettina Grube |
Bettina Grube was born in Oranienburg, Germany
in 1956. She
went to school in Stuttgart and later studied Artistic Speech and
Drama at the Alanus Hochschule, Bonn. Afterwards,
she studied eurythmy in Hamburg, taught at different training centers,
and has worked ever since as stage artist. Her credits are
many and include: member of the renowned English eurythmy stage
group Ashdown Eurythmy from 1984 until they dissolved in
1991; collaboration on many artistic projects, including Zodiac
at the Documenta IX (Kassel), Eurythmiesprechtheater Christian
Morgenstern- Images of His Life, Freies Eurythmieensemble (Hamburg), Eurythmiewerkstatt
Neue Musik (Mikrokozmosz), The Nutcracker; and Schneesturm (Maria
Swetajewa, collaborating with a theater ensemble from St. Petersburg). Since
1993, Bettina is deeply involved with the Mondensemble,
which was co-founded by her, and its children and evening performances
taking a central role in her artistic activities. Bettina
has been currently engaged in guest teaching at eurythmy trainings
in Hamburg, Yokohama, the Haag, and Witten, and as well maintains
involvement in directing projects belonging to her activities as
freelance artist. She lives in Hamburg, where she co-founded 4.D
raum fuer eurythmische ausbildung und kunst. |

Ulla Hess
|
Born in Germany, Ulla undertook her eurythmy training
with Elena Zuccoli, in Dornach, Switzerland. After an internship as
a stage artist with Else Klink in Stuttgart, she was a member
of the eurythmy ensemble at the Goetheanum in Dornach from 1987-
1999, and she has maintained many independent artistic projects
since. Additionally, Ulla has been a teacher at the Eruythmeum
Zuccoli since 1988. She has completed individual study courses
with many accomplished eurythmists, including Elisabeth Day, Steven
Koconda, Lili Reinitzer and Erna Ruegger, and has served as an
advisor and coach in Selbstmanagement von Kompetenzen nach ipf-Q. In
November 2007, Ulla began a praxis-orientated study program leading
to a Master of Education at the University Plymouth (UK).

Renate Nisch |
Born in Mexico, Renate earned her eurythmy degree
at the Haag, Netherlands. She has been teaching eurythmy in Brazil
ever since, leading professional eurythmy trainings and as well
teaching children. For
many years, Renate was a member of Grupo de Euritmia de
São Paolo, and she studied therapeutic eurythmy 2002-
2004. |
