Project leaders

Andrea Weder, born in Germany in 1956, originally studied sculpting at the “Alanus Hochschule in Alfter”, Germany, and worked there as freelance sculptor for three years. She trained Eurythmy at the “London School of Eurythmy”, England, and graduated there in 1988. Markus Weder, born in Switzerland 1962, studied curative education in Arlesheim and Dornach, Switzerland, before training as eurythmist at the “Akademie fuer Eurythmische Kunst, Lea van der Pals” in Dornach, Switzerland, and at “Eurythmy Spring Valley”, USA, where he graduated in 1990.

Together they toured internationally, as performers, directors and master teachers with Eurythmy Spring Valley (from 1991- 1996) and the Austin Eurythmy Ensemble (from 1996- 2007). They worked for ten years as Artists-in-Residence at the Austin Waldorf High School before becoming free-lance artists in 2005/2006. Markus and Andrea were founders and artistic co-directors of the Austin Eurythmy Ensemble, the Austin Youth Eurythmy Troupe, and the International Summer Eurythmy Academy. They both are very excited about conceiving and implementing along with the students and the college of teachers the new project im- pulse. eurythmy, International Eurythmy Studies.
